A hand built Mk4 split cane rod.

Built by BS Member Paul Johnson, who is a new rod builder on the scene.

Paul's rods are hand built from start to finish everything and I mean everything is done by hand, from splitting the "tonkin" to whipping the rings on.

The only outside power Paul uses is in his drying cupboard where he has a small electric motor

that turns the rod to dry the whippings and varnish and his drill to turn turn the cork handle down

I am lucky in as muh as I have the 2nd rod he made and what a beauty it is.
